Naming Your Year

I orginally got the idea of naming my year from a dear freind of mine Melodye from and then yesterday, I came across a post from a fellow blogger Sartal at Pressing in and Pressing on and I noticed she did the same. My only problem, I wasn't sure on how exactly how to come up with a word. After consualting my dear friend she explained to me a simple solution. Which I have converted into two easy steps.

Step One: PRAY!

She reminded me the best way to find answers is by simply asking for them. I think we all forget sometimes God is always ready and more than able to provid us with the answers. They may not always come fast and easy but he AWLAYS provides.

Step Two: LISTEN!

She then reminded me to pay attention and LISTEN! Some often chalk this up to coincidence but I see it as God's way of communicating with us! You might ask,  exactly how can you listen and know that God is answering my question, let me explain.

Just the other day I was feeling rather down. Seeking comfort I went to my friend and she shared with me the story of Moses. Two days later my devotional shared the same story, I kept coming across this same message in different forms. In the story of Moses we see God calling upon Moses to lead HIS people from Egypt. But, Moses had his doubts. He was unsure he would be able to handle such a task. He was afraid people would not believe in him and that he laked the ability to do so.

Exodus 4:10-12 Moses says " Pardon your servant, LORD. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue." The LORD said to him, " Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes the deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind?" Is in not I, the LORD? Now go, I will help you speak and will teach you what to say."

I then began to reflect on the last couple of months remembering lessons God had taught me and I noticed something. I was holding myself back. Then the word for my year hit me like a ton of bricks!
See when we doubt our abilities we are in essence doubting God and his design for us. God doesn't make mistakes and often we forget that. We feel less than and not enough. For me the key is growing in CONFIDENCE not only personally but spiritually as well . For when we begin to see and love ourselves as God does nothing can shake us.

I will grow in CONFIDENCE in my relationship with the LORD!
I will grow in CONFIDENCE in my ability as a mother!
I will grow in CONFIDENCE as a wife!
I will grow in CONFIDENCE in my business!
I will grow in CONFIDENCE in myself as a friend and encourager!
I will grow in CONFIDENCE that I AM ENOUGH!
